
Understanding & Mitigating Suicidality in Older Adults
Overview
This workshop aims to bring awareness as well as to enhance existing understandings of the relevance of approaching suicidality in older adults with a trauma sensitive and culturally humble lens. As a result of the exploration and examination of research and clinical approaches, attendees will be provided, via active learning with tools to identify contributors to older adult suicidality. Mechanisms to deconstruct these perspectives/practices towards this population will be identified and role-played , thereby improving their outcomes and reducing suicidality amongst older adults.

This workshop offers 5 CEU Credits which includes 1-hour of Ethics.
A certificate of completion will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop and emailed to each participant who completed and submitted the evaluation form that will be handed out at the end of the session. If your certificate is lost, a new one can be sent to you for a fee of $10.
