


Understanding & Mitigating Suicidality in Older Adults | July 9, 2025
Overview
This workshop aims to bring awareness as well as to enhance existing understandings of the relevance of approaching suicidality in older adults with a trauma sensitive and culturally humble lens. As a result of the exploration and examination of research and clinical approaches, attendees will be provided, via active learning with tools to identify contributors to older adult suicidality. Mechanisms to deconstruct these perspectives/practices towards this population will be identified and role-played, thereby improving their outcomes and reducing suicidality amongst older adults.
